CrystalMaker Guide: Custom Display
CrystalMaker permits fine control over many
aspects of a model's display, including: unit cell line colour, polyhedral
types, bond thicknesses, etc.
Customizing your Plot
You can use the Model Options dialog (Model > Model Options...) to
change the way in which your model is displayed. The dialog has a number
of tabs which let you switch between different "pages" of settings
for the currently-displayed structure:-
- Atoms - specify atom style (black & white plots only).
- Bonds - specify relative bond thickness, colouring scheme and
(black & white plots only) bond style.
- Polyhedra - choose different polyhedral styles (solid, translucent,
stick, etc.) for different sites in the structure.
- Surface - define surface colour, opacity, plot type, and shell
radius for surface plotting (relative to atomic radii).
- Unit cell - specify unit cell line thickness, colour, display
(smooth or dashed) and other options.
- aXes - specify colours for the axis display.
- Labels - specify what information should be displayed by atom
labels (e.g., site label, chemical element, atom number or z-coordinate),
the label position, and text font.
- backGround - select a plain or gradient-fill background and
colour.
You can switch between the tabs by clicking on them, or by pressing the
appropriate key (denoted by the capitalised letter in the tab's name).
